ENGINEERING & DESIGN:

We, as a collaborative, have the capabilities to help with any and all of the aspects of your projects.  From concept and design, to prototyping and production, we can make your project happen.  We possess the knowledge to help in about all areas of the trades.  From new concept, to reverse engineering, we have you covered.

Also, our members have extensive experience in engineering changes in the tool and die, as well as mold making, fixturing, machining, and prototyping areas as well.

To do this requires high end computer aided design systems, as well as the equipment and manpower to achieve it.   Click here (or scroll up the page) for a list of capabilities of the equipment and manpower, as well as the CAD-CAM systems in use by our members.  Also included are the more popular CAD translators.

General Machining including milling, turning up to 17" O.D. by 50" length, surface grinding of 10" thick x 12" x 60", and blanchard grinding of up to 46" diameter. Boring Mill capabilities of 72" x 60" x 60".

Our team uses several high end software packages as described in the Engineering & Design section to program solid and surface models to your specifications.

Production Machining (milling, drilling & rigid tapping) is another of our specialties.

Precision OD Grinding of 8" O.D. x 18" length and small openings machined to a depth of 4" (depending on ID).

Polished Surfaces of 4 micron (mirror finish) are possible if required.

Wire EDM (Electrical Discharge) Machining is applicable for aerospace, automotive, furniture, medical, renewable energy and the defense fields and is used in the production of punches, dies, mold components, gage details, tooling components, prototype details and more.

  • Over ten wire machines offering both submerged and non-submerged capabilities with travels of 15.7 in. thick and 24.6 X 15.75 inches in the
    X and Y axis.
  • 30 degree taper is possible on parts up to 15.7 in. tick.
  • Our equipment operates in climate controlled environments to ensure tight tolerances (±0.0001 in.) over the entire travel of our machine tools.
  • 4 axis tapering work cut via solid, surface and wireframe models. Our equipment is capable of fine surface finishes desired for cutting carbide and titanium.
